Clarivance AI — Marketing Site, Waitlist & Codebase Audit for a Pre-Launch Fintech

The Problem

Clarivance AI is a pre-launch UK fintech building AI cash-flow forecasting and HMRC Making Tax Digital (MTD) tax automation for sole traders and small businesses. The product engine is still to be built — what the team needed first was a credible, fast, conversion-focused marketing site to explain the proposition, capture an early-access waitlist, and stand up the SEO, accessibility and legal groundwork a consumer fintech launches on.

There was a second, quieter problem. The starting codebase had been generated with an AI site builder, so before anything could be trusted in production it needed a proper engineering audit — not just "does it look right," but does it build cleanly, route correctly, keep secrets off the client, and say things that are actually true.

Our Solution

A fast, server-rendered marketing site

We delivered the site on React 19 with TanStack Start, using server-side rendering and route pre-rendering so pages paint fast and are friendly to search engines — built deliberately on a modern stack the team can keep extending toward the product itself.

A waitlist that doesn't leak secrets

Early-access sign-ups are captured through a serverless function rather than a third-party form, so the API token for the data store lives on the server and never ships to the browser. Same-origin, no exposed keys, no CORS workarounds.

SEO, accessibility and legal groundwork

Every page got its own metadata and JSON-LD structured data, backed by a generated sitemap. We added accessibility passes and the UK-GDPR legal pages — privacy, terms and cookies — that a data-collecting fintech needs in place before it starts collecting.

An audited, trustworthy codebase

We ran a full audit of the AI-generated code and fixed the issues that matter in production — build and configuration problems, routing, and a stale regulatory timeline in the content that no longer matched HMRC's published MTD schedule. The goal was a codebase the founder can stand behind and build on.

A clear path to the real product

The headline capability — filing to HMRC under Making Tax Digital — is a regulated integration, not a website feature. We scoped it properly: OAuth2 through the Government Gateway, HMRC's mandatory fraud-prevention headers, and the sandbox-to-production approval path — so when the product build begins, the route is already costed and de-risked rather than discovered late.
